Uncle Sam: Press-Out and Play Book
At 4 pages, 2 of which are punch-out pieces, this is really more of an activity than a book, but I still have to recommend it. A 5-year-old can manage to pop out the pieces, but may need some help with assembly, as several of the tabs are tight-fitting. We discussed the origin of the Uncle Sam image as we put the float together, and when we were done we had a cute decoration to put out every year for the holiday. Can't ask for more than that!
