Ann Tyler: Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant

Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant - Anne Tyler

Hmmm, my second Anne Tyler novel, almost in a row, and I didn't love it. Her prose is terrific and she has interesting things to reveal about her characters, but the lack of plot or conflict or resolution annoyed me in this book and in When We Were Grownups, the last Tyler novel I read. Both novels encompassed the life of a woman, and both were very well written, but both ended up disappointing me. Oh well, I guess I'm not an Anne Tyler fan. :-/
