Eden Robinson: Monkey Beach
Modern Canadian Aboriginal Gothic fiction, just my thing. There was a lot to like about this book, and it was an easy and engaging read. I wanted the prose to be a little more stylish and the story a little more intense, but that's more my tastes and not the fault of the book. By the end of the book, I loved Lisamarie's voice, and I wished I had more of her story ahead of me. Recommended.
